Two piles

This afternoon we went to daughter C's, where I have stored a whole lot of timber saved from when we had the old villa in Herne Bay. I had kept boards from the old outside washhouse, and also some parts of the fence, including six Totara posts from the original 1911 fence.

Those posts were the least damaged of all the timber; indeed there had been no obvious damage to the posts after removal from the ground decades ago. Unfortunately the poor attention the piles had had over the last five or six years had resulted in the fare larger pile in the foreground. Although more neatly stacked (by me) than the distant one (by Mr H), it is what I will be asking Junk2Go to collect and dispose of as they see fit. They are very good at arranging reuse of what can be reused.
