Seals at Whinnyfold

This afternoon I went down to Whinnyfold to see the seals and there were lots basking on the rocks (first extra). It was a welcome opportunity for them to recover after the wild seas of recent days.

As I sat at the water’s edge taking photos a bold wee seal, one of an inquisitive group which was swimming close to the shore, emerged from the chilly waters just a few yards away from me.  It spent a few minutes watching me before returning to the sea.
