From Big Sis….

I have to share this birthday card! We laughed so much …and I sincerely hope others will too!

Esmée FaceTimed over lunch as she ate a sausage roll. Théa though “ just got cucumber.” We’ll have time with them next weekend. She wants to go swimming with Granddad.

We’ve spent parts of the day helping with preparation for our now retired Assistant Pastor’s lunch tomorrow. Great team work in the kitchen and hall. We’d made apple puffs from the birthday boy for the coffee break.

This evening we’ve enjoyed a lovely meal tucked away in a corner table for two in a rather noisy/ lively restaurant. Very different from one year ago.

I managed to make good my Mary Berry sponge birthday cake, with extra filling. It even looks quite passable.
