Lathe action

Monday-night wrenching-night was spent machining and prepping individual parts of the R100s’ original exhausts so they can be welded together again after shortening the main silencer section. More work than anticipated as the exhausts are tapered and shortening involves more than just taking a section out. The section that needs to be welded back on must also be made smaller in diameter, whilst preferably keeping the same side profile, so it will still look sort of original. One of the end caps on the lathe to take out the inner pipe, so the end cap itself can be modified…
