Brightening up

The weather was absolutely terrible this morning. It had rained a lot during the night and was wet and grey in the morning. I let Mystère out at 7:30 and within 15 minutes he was back, yowling that it was raining. Some friends from our village in France who are touring Andalusia in their camper van were coming for lunch, so this was not ideal.

There was a slight hitch in their plans -- we were shopping for lunch in the supermarket when they called to say that the campsite in Almuñecar was not accessible to their size of vehicle and they were not entirely sure how to navigate to us from there. In the end we went to meet them and piloted them across town to the bottom of our road, where we left the van.

Back home, tea and chat followed by aperos, followed by lunch. Sadly it was not warm enough to even have drinks on the terrace, never mind lunch, but at least we got the view and eventually the sun struggled through the clouds, turning the sea from grey to blue. Mid-afternoon we waved them off as they set out to find a more accessible campsite.

As so often when we have visitors, I forgot to take any photos. So I had a wander round the garden, and here's a hibiscus. The garden is gradually getting more colourful.
