At Symonds Yat: Curling wye in the woods...

The river wye, at Symonds Yat flows downhill through the forest of dean. We embarked on the 'red route' this afternoon, and soon realised we were on the four miler route. The bonus being that we spent time watching the moss gather as we descended to the main flow of the river.

Its amazing how the river begins to channel in curves through the forest, like veins, filling up and feeding the main River Wye. With the rain building again all day, these veins produced some really pretty waterfalls too, but my attention stayed with the curves agains the upright of the forest....

Home, made tea and scones, pleasantly aching legs.....x
