A time for everything

Spring at Ault Park

Thursday
We enjoyed a wonderful time today soaking up the sights of Spring at Ault Park, one of the Cincinnati Parks. We spent quite a while just strolling round the more formal area, which is where all my photos were taken, before going into the forested area for some more energetic walking. The forecast called for sunny spells in the morning clouding over for the afternoon, with a chance of rain. However, whilst there were plenty of clouds around, the sunny intervals persisted longer into the afternoon, and the rain thus far has not materialized. The Japanese cherry grove shown in my thumbnail photo and the top centre was about at its peak, but unfortunately the older weeping cherries in a nearby area, were past their best, or had been damaged by the below freezing temperatures we had two or three nights last week. Besides the cherry blossom, one of my favourites is the red bud tree, shown in the two lower right photos. I was also lucky enough to capture several bird shots, the Cardinal and chickadee, top left, and the chipping sparrow, which didn’t make it into my collage.
We were out at church choir this evening, working hard for Palm Sunday and Easter.
