Whipple Dam on a Blue-Sky Spring Day

As sometimes happens after an April storm, the sun came out and things warmed up, and the snow melted away pretty much everywhere. My husband and I decided to make a run down to Couch's because they told us they still had the fish fry. So we went and had another pair of those bad boys.

From there, we drove to nearby Whipple Dam for a little look-see. In about a month, we'll be gearing up for swimming season. And there are two big piles of sand along the swimming area, just waiting to be leveled out into a big sandy beach.

But the big story of the day was the gorgeous blue sky, which you can see both above and below. (As above, so below, as they say.) Yes, the sky was blue and the breezes were fair, and the day was one to celebrate. Back to springtime again!

My soundtrack song . . . well, I've been going through a U2 phase, so here are U2, with Bullet the Blue Sky, from Rattle and Hum.
