Tarbat Ness light

Unfortunately, I ended up spending most of the day chained to my laptop, apart from a very chilly early morning walk down to the shoreline. All through the day, there were dramatic cloud formation, from this morning onwards.

We went out after supper and found the sun on Tarbat Ness, but it was very cold indeed. A freezing north easterly wind as we walked out to Wilkhaven Point past the lighthouse. And then all the way back in the car there was strange light as we approached the haar that has been hanging over the inland waters of the Dornoch Firth all day.

Sadly, this is our penultimate full day up here. Only two more sleeps :-(

In other news, the saga of our lift seems to be finally resolving itself in favour of renovation rather than replacement. It’s cheaper, slightly quicker….but is it durable? Time will tell.
