Sipping nectar

The sun came out again, and on my trip to the recycling bins I decided to check out new spring life. I saw a hoopoe (too far away) and some goldfinches (too quick). But on the positive side, this is the sharpest photo of a hummingbird hawkmoth I've ever managed. The flower is the always spectacular echium candicans.

A domestic day. My revived sourdough starter looked very healthy after a night sat on top of the router, so I started some bread, and I have almost finished the first sleeve of my jumper. Off out shortly for dinner with A and B.
