Joy among misery

Watching Everton play at the best of times is a chore. Watching Everton play-and yet not play-at the same time is painful. Watching Everton play-and yet not play-at the same time while having Covid is almost more than civilized man can bear. Or me, for that matter.

Still, with giver of Covid and newly recovered son beside me, we watched manfully - and then Andy Robertson broke the deadlock after an hour or so, and then a football match broke out. If only Everton could play football, it might have been more interesting.

Still, as I descended into the depths of crappiness, there had at least been a moment of release.
