Nesting Grebe

We had a short walk round Orrell Water Park in the drizzle this afternoon.
I usually take a zoom lens, as there are plenty of birds around, and was delighted to see the usually elusive Grebe sitting on a nest very close to the banking.
It’s not the most protected area, and quite close to the kids’ playpark, so I hope it will be ok, and I’ll definitely be back to see if any chicks arrive!
