Hidden Gems

A little bit of blip magic today up on Burley Moor - (only 30 minutes away and we’ve never been before!) - in search of a first sighting of the green hairstreak - we found them - and so much more. In extras is a collage with another shot of this glorious green butterfly, a small lizard, first of the year, and a green tiger beetle.
Overcast but not cold, lots of birds about, meadow pippets, grouse, curlew and a kestrel being seen off by a lapwing.
Nearly back to the car we met a man with an emperor moth pheromone lure with half a dozen males flying round him. Fascinating
Huge thanks to WharfedaleBex
