Rannerdale and the bluebells.

I was planning to go over to Rannerdale this morning to shoot the annual bluebell display, but the morning was pretty overcast. By mid - late afternoon, it looked a bit brighter - I just wanted some sun on the bluebells and the gorse. This was shot focus stack, to get DoF from the nearest gorse flowers (which were only a few inches away, to the distant hills.

The colours this year seem to be really intense - better than they were last year.

Also remembered James, who's ashes we scattered there a few weeks back - he loved the bluebells.
