Train Wreck

This well graffitied derailed boxcar is one of seven that left the track in 1956 in Whistler BC when the engineer driving the train exceeded the permissible speed limit by double. Many rail cars left the track and fell into the nearby Cheakamus River. A logging company salvaged what they could of the train wreck and then left seven badly mangled rail cars in the forest to be decorated by local artists over the decades. This is my entry for this week’s derelict Sunday theme.
