Phlomis, russeliana

To quote the RHS, it is a genus of about 100 species of sage-like herbaceous perennials. I have featured it before when it flowers but the sun just caught this, this afternoon. so I thought it would be nice to record the bud. stage. It has spread this year, which I am happy about as it is a semi shaded spot.

I was planning to cut the grass this afternoon, but having spent most of the morning in the garden, I decided I had had enough. There is rain forecast for tonight, and as the grass isn't that long it will keep.
