Flower Power at Way Fruit Farm

A Mother's Day craft show was scheduled to occur at Way Fruit Farm last weekend, but it got pretty thoroughly rained out. So they rescheduled it for this weekend, on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. There were to be vendor booths, food trucks, rides through the orchard, and live music.

Some showers were expected later in the day (and we did, in fact, get a proper drenching from about 6 to 8:30 p.m.), so first thing in the morning, I walked up to check the whole event out. It was just after 9 a.m. when I got there, so things were pretty sedate at that time.

There were a number of booths set up around the perimeter, there was a stage for music, and one food truck that smelled pretty darn good already was selling pulled pork, sausage, beef, and chicken meals.

The real story of the day, though, from a photographer's perspective, was the FLOWER POWER displayed all around the place, as there were many, MANY hanging baskets of flowers, in every color of the rainbow!

Here is a song for a craft fair in May, with lovely flowers all around! Simon and Garfunkel, with Scarborough Fair.
