Blossom

I have given myself a quiet day after Thursday's physical exertion and yesterday's mental and emotional gymnastics. 

No task lists. No targets. No-one to have to speak to. Just relaxation. 

I did head for the farm shop first thing in the morning, and enjoyed a coffee plus brownie in the orchard after I had finished the shopping. It was undoubtedly the day's high point. 

I also enjoyed a wonderful ice hockey game on livestream from the IIHF World Championships in Finland. Switzerland v Canada in a pool game, but it was a re-run of the semifinal I attended in Copenhagen in 2018. 90% of the spectators were Swiss fans and - to quote the commentators - the arena was bouncing. 

Switzerland won again. Swiss speed overcame Canadian muscle. Again.
