Bunking off ...

My planned day of dressmaking (technically, skirtmaking) went by the board today for an excellent reason. We were asked to look after our two youngest granddaughters for a few hours at short notice, which we were delighted to do. 

They kept us amused and were as good as gold (although the two year old was occasionally rather bossy – "Please give me a minute, Grandpa!"). Much fun was had and the four year old spent a long time re-arranging and tidying the dolls' house beautifully. 

OK, maybe a bunk bed wouldn’t have been Grandpa’s first choice of an ideal napping place, but L was certainly correct in thinking that Granny and Grandpa might by now be in need of a rest …
