Remembering

10 years ago today, after 16 years and 144 days, was my last day in the Royal Air Force. I had a display from the Red Arrows at RAF Scampton, and that was that (not realising that a few years later my wife would be their Station Commander).
At this time of year, the poppies begin to blossom, reminding me every time I see them of those that I met along the way in my Service career - some that I am still in contact with, some that I have lost contact with, and some that are no longer with us, and, of course, one that I am married to....
However, what a journey the last decade has been!
