Le Creuset scale

The big 8.9 litre oval Le Creuset casserole dish (RRP £380) in my blip is the latest addition to my collection. My middle sister discovered it in a skip on Holy Island, then my not-so-little sister gave it a good clean and replaced the missing knob. Neither of them wanted it, so now it is mine. I will use it for soup brewing and roasting fowl.

For scale, I've included in my blip two other pans from my Le Creuset rainbow. The purple one is a large casserole dish, and the yellow one a standard-sized saucepan. They were also acquired in a non-traditional manner, both swaps: the purple one with Vikki and Cameron; and the yellow one through a local Facebook community group.

In some respects this is an emergency blip on a day when I have been desperately trying to clear my holiday work backlog. I hoped to reach the bottom of my email today, but failed miserably. And, of course, with every email sent, it seems that at least two come back in reply, often with further tasks to deal with - aaargh!

Meanwhile, Mr hazelh and Mummy hazelh have been enjoying the sunshine in the garden, and there also seems to be some sort of party going on in Englandshire...

Exercise today: none.
