Large Skipper #5

A morning in the garden with not as much achieved as I wanted, but it was too hot to continue. After lunch we went to Risley Moss for a walk in the shade(well, most of it is in the shade). I was hoping for another nice dragonfly or even a hobby, but didn't get either. The pond was awash with common blue damselflies today, but no dragons, and the 4 birders that were at the lookout point said they had not seen any hobbies for the past 2 hours. It was very hot and sunny and I wasn't about to stand about in the heat for more than 5 minutes, so we went looking for something else. Until I came upon this large skipper, it was going to be the sunbathing blackbird in extras, but I've already blipped a blackbird this year, so this skipper wins today.
