Bowood 2013 #6: Patches

I paid a short visit to Bowood after an expedition to Chippenham to run several errands, some of them successful. There were a few swans on the Avon, but I've blipped enough of those for the time being. I was rather struck by this fat pigeon in a tree near the bridge, though. It was Record Store Day, but alas there is no longer anywhere to buy records in Chippenham.

I've taken pictures every time I've looked in on Tractor Ted's Little Farm in the grounds at Bowood, but have blipped something else each time. The calves, lambs and piglets are growing fast so I felt this time I must correct my omission.

Meet Patches, an increasingly confident and friendly Belgian Blue cross-breed, born on 17th February. In the background you can see Misty, a Charolais cross-breed, born a week later on the 24th. It was quite a Springlike day and in the grounds I espied many daffodils and primroses.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)(2012 Remix) (1985/2012)
For Record Store Day Kate Bush released a special vinyl pressing of a new version of the song Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God). It had been premiered during the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony, and used the backing track of the 1985 12" single, with new vocals. It was transposed down a semitone to fit Kate Bush's current lower vocal range.
