A Day Worth Recording

Having a Day Out.

Broadway Tower is a building that permeates almost all Worcestershire tourism materials, but we'd never been.  We presumed it would be particularly impressive.

It wasn't.

It turns out to be about half the size we'd expected.  OK, it's a fun folly and there are great views from the top - and it has a fascinating history - but, somehow underwhelming.

Tried adding a bit of whelm with the camera's built-in effects, especially as the lighting wasn't great.

In contrast, while we were in the area we dropped in on Snowshill Manor and that was just amazing.  If ever you need to illustrate English eccentricity, this is the place.  One Charles Wade purchased and restored the derelict Tudor manor in 1919 simply to fill it with his collection of random stuff (a sample in the extra).

He, himself, lived in the rather basic adjoining cottage.
