Wheesht!

Mrs CBL and I were in Aberdeen today doing chores for our daughter and son-in-law.  On the way home we stopped off so I could take some photos of another of the NuArt murals.

James Klinge, from Glasgow,  is the artist who painted the lady who adorns the wall of the Ibis Hotel.  It is modelled on his wife as she puts her finger to her lips and says ‘wheesht’* to their children when they are noisy.

His work is primarily figurative using intricate and detailed hand-cut stencils which he paints over.

*Wheesht is a Scots word meaning ‘be quiet’ or ‘shut up’.
