Just a normal Friday night

... on the square. 120 people for dinner and dancing. I'm not blipping the band, as usual they'd set up the lighting so that they were dazzlingly backlit, also they were not brilliant -- basically above-average karaoke. But as long as there's music, people will dance whether they are eight or eighty! It's always pretty hopeless trying to take photos in these lighting conditions, hence the mono.

Weather looked a bit dodgy ... at 8 pm, heavy clouds, swirling wind, a few spots of rain, and at one point a massive clap of thunder. But the rain held off, as it often does here in the shadow of the mountain. Our mayor was not so lucky. He went to a concert about 15 km away and after the second song the storm hit them and it had to be called off. I was quite happy that a bit more rain here at 11:30 impelled the band to wrap up so we could get a good night's sleep.

It had been beautiful in the morning -- I had a lovely swim and chat with Ingrid and G. And as I'm backblipping I can say the clouds have blown away and it's lovely again, albeit breezy.
