Gently down the stream

Wildflower walk

A lot of today was cloudy and grey, though very humid.  The sun did at last come out and the breeze got up, which helped.  I decided to go for a wildflower walk.  When you're a bit tired, which I was, plants have the great advantage they don't require you to creep up on them or stand around for half an hour waiting for them to show.  They know how to just be!

So this lot, in the order in which I took them:

top R - great willowherb, epilobium hirsutum
bottom R - water mint, mentha aquatica
(both taken in the reserve)

L - viper's bugloss, echium vulgare
(taken up the butterfly hill)

Results of WFW22_17 will be in my journal tomorrow

Enjoy your evening  xx
