Warm, but MUCH Better!

A gorgeous, cool morning - the coolness felt so great on the skin! I played a round of golf this morning and then headed home for an afternoon of botanical garden work. It was quite warm this afternoon, but there was a pleasant breeze and it was not unbearable.

The pollinators were loving the afternoon and the plants....hundreds of bees and flies and a few butterflies. The Globe Thistle - Echinops bannaticus - has just opened enough for the bees to be all over it - look at this...three different sorts of bees on one flower!
