St Trillo Chapel

This tiny building of 11 feet by 8 feet is at Rhos on Sea in North Wales and  thought to be the smallest church in British Isles. Seats only six people. Named after St Trillo, 6th-century saint who built his cell here.
Much repaired over centuries, its age unknown. St Trillo’s cell was probably wood and wattle, but he may have built wall of stones from beach to protect from wind.
Spring inside it gave him drinking water. Well is in front of altar.
Chapel open in daytime.
We diverted here to see this on our way home from Llandudno. I wouldn't have known about it but for geocaching (there is a geocache close to it). Found the geocache but that was not the main reason we came here. We love seeing chapels, churches, cathedrals, especially historic ones.
