Bird number 40

Today I am older. Every year on this day I have my own personal bird race (try and see as many birds as I can) my target number? To see more bird species than I have years. By the time I got this little fella I still hadn't reached my target. Luckily, with man flu still having a huge impact, I found three more species soon after, in fact I reached a total of 47 (which exceeds my years!). Only half of last years number, but then that's what birding is like.

Next Saturday is my first Puffin Cruise of the year, and the first time I will be doing commentary. Already planning my Blip, and I'll be watching for Blippers.
