Goodbye to Alicia

Alicia asked me to take a photo of her marking her Farewell.  She is a ‘cheeky wee monkey’ as we might say in Scotland.

We drove to Edinburgh Airport and all went well until the last two miles of the journey, when we joined a traffic jam. We had left in plenty of time.

The queue was glacial in moving forward and Alicia began to panic. The last two miles took us 40 minutes to cover and was caused by traffic queuing to get into Ingliston market.

The queue had actually stretched back on to the motorway and I am surprised that Ingliston Market gets away with this.

However, we made it and we deposited Alicia at the door. Hasty goodbyes were said and we headed back home only to find another queue forming for the Queensferry Crossing.

The extra was taken by Pat.

Alicia was in time for her flight which had been delayed. She had spent extra time with us rather than waiting in Brussels Airport for her flight to La Rochelle.
