Old Cross

Today saw the first ever medieval market in Old Glossop (about 2 miles from my home). its funny how this market came to fruition. some time last year a driver following his satnav took the wrong turn and "boink" he hit the old cross. the locals wanted it repairing council agreed and so it was.
It was then decided to have a song and dance over its grand unveiling , it was decided to have a medieval market. it was well attended infact to well attended , I could not see the wood for trees. luckily , knowing it was going to be busy, I decided to go and tog the cross early this morning, cars had been moved for the market , so I got a shot of how the area was pre car, with the cross nicely decorated!
