Entrance

Today was another nice day. I eased myself into the day by reading my book and then headed out for a run.   It was warmer than I had anticipated it would be, and I was slower than I should have been.  I had half a thought to extend my route, but I decided against it.   TT was at church when I got back and I was soon back on the never ending chores.

After lunch TT and I went to Preston Hall walled garden, which we had never visited before.  It has been restored over recent years – as a labour of love.  It’s a lovely place to visit, but only open a few days as year in the summer.  After our wander round the garden, we enjoyed a cuppa and cake in the sunshine, before heading home.  I then popped out for a supermarket shop, while TT cooked tea.  He did us proud.  A starter of courgette and halloumi fritters, followed by Courgette and prawn curry.  There is a theme isn’t there!

Meanwhile I was back to ironing school uniform.

This is the grand entrance to the walled garden.  Much of the herbaceous borders were past their best, but there was still lots of flowers in the garden.  I liked the combination in the extra.
