Freshhhhh flowers

Happy May Day!

Ordinarily I'm opposed to blipping a collage - it seems like cheating for a one-a-day journal. But today I'm, well, cheating. This is a sampling of some of my favorite flowers in bloom today: peony, iris (2) and columbine. My absolute favorite is the peony...until the iris blooms...until the columbine blooms. I'm a bit like Liza and her Very Favorite Thing - whatever is in front of her at the moment.

I posted the originals of these on PB in addition to a few others.

I'm participating - occasionally, probably - in DDW's challenge for May. Today's prompt: Fresh, thus the title.

For some OCD reason, I've kept a list of the flowers I've seen in bloom in the neighborhood in April. Obviously, these are just the ones I can identify - there are twice as many more I don't know. It's an impressive bunch of blooms!
