Confined

The forecast ummed and ahhed, eventually delivering the predicted rain, although underestimating the quantity we eventually received by more than 100%. I did not venture out all day, further than the safety of the porch, for some photos that is.

Nothing in my view was still, I watched the wind blown branches and driving rain. It was also quite dark. After attempting shots with high iso, I gave up on that idea and embraced the conditions. Even at my widest aperture, the shutter speed was nearly 2 seconds.

I opted for this frame at four, which has enough stable elements to discern the subject, yet blurred branches and leaves to show the movement. I rather like the effect.
