This was my claimed spoils from our afternoon at the Maize Maze yesterday and it has made me smile each time I walked past it as a memory of a nice day out.

I think we were all feeling the effects of yesterday’s fun as everyone seemed tired today, so aside from some chores for me and a quick trip to the playground after lunchtime, we had a quiet one.

I did get some cookies baked though and broke my burger cycle by getting a chicken and chorizo stew on the go for dinner. The girls made their way over to Nanny’s place and spent the afternoon making pompoms, whilst us chaps watched a lethargic West Ham capitulate to Everton.

This evening, with the latest season of the world’s greatest TV show (Cobra Kai) completed, I switched my attention instead to the documentary; Trainwreck: Woodstock 1999, which was certainly something of an eye opener. Quite an allegory for the current state of the world, where something that grew out of and for peace and love got hijacked for profit and degenerated into a Lord of the Flies-esque hellscape, soundtracked by Limp Bizkit.

The horror.
