Evening Rainbow

Designed by Mary Hickmott. Finished stitched area is 12 x 9cm.

It looks better in real life. The rainbow is so clever, created by sewing half cross stitches (fairly unusual) over the top of the existing stitches using a single strand to give it a translucent effect. Wouldn't have thought of doing that in a million years.

I'm going to attempt to frame it myself to give as a gift.
