We had a great day!

Christof won a ticket in a raffle and so we did a steam train ride today. Leon was a bit afraid of the locomotive (because big and noisy), but we had a great day.

The wagons are from the sixties. The locomotive was built in 1943, has 1600 hp, had 30,000 liters of water and 10 tons of hard coal on board. It operated in freight traffic and has a speed of 80 km/h. Today we drove at about 50 km/h.

The journey went from Gießen to Idstein. The last one has a beautiful old town. Tomorrow I'll be blipping pictures of it.
In total, we were on the road for more than 13 hours.
