Harvested before the rain

We harvested all the tomatoes and shelling beans today just before the rains began. As you can see we have many tomatoes that are still green. Many of the shelling bean pods are not completely dry yet either. They are all in our spare bedroom/my sewing room. We set up a portable dehumidifier to maybe help with the drying process. I will also cover the tomatoes and close the door to keep it dark in there.
Many of the tomatoes will ripen over time. We can shell the beans even if they are damp and not fully developed.
The rain actually started within an hour of finishing the harvest. We still have two pepper plants, a broccolini, and a sugar snap pea plant producing, but we left those as the rain won’t hurt them.
Another good year for out garden.
