Back in the USA

One of the jobs I had to do on our return was bottling the home made wines I had racked off before leaving. The 6 weeks of sitting in the demijohns had allowed them to clear completely without any need for anything artificial which means the wines are entirely free of any chemicals - organic and biodynamlc. One row of bottles come from the grapes grown on our own vine and the the other row grapes from Rachelle’s garden. Tasted pretty good though they now need to mature for a few months before drinking. Also managed to coax my sourdough starter back to life from the freezer and had some delicious fresh bread. It’s been a little hectic with BG stuff and I’m doing this blip while waiting to give Jamie and Rachelle a ride home from the airport at 1:30 am - bad weather means they were badly delayed - and we’ve spent the last 3 days corralling the grandkids while they celebrated their wedding anniversary! Sorry I haven’t. been blipping much - it’s been a bit of an adjustment to all the different responsibilities of being back in the US.
