Remembrance Sunday

For many years,on Remembrance Sunday we have climbed up Hameldown on Dartmoor to be at the RAF memorial at 11.00am to remember  a bomber crew who lost their lives on the moor when their plane crashed in mist on 21 March 1941.It was misty today but not cold.As well as the 13 from our rambling club there were a few mountain bikers and a couple more walkers. After the silence we walked along the ridge , where we encountered Dartmoor ponies enjoying a gallop together,  and then dropped down to Widecombe in the Moor to eat our sandwiches. A privilege to be there as usual.
