Gladiolus bud double exposure

We've already got a couple of gladiolus flowers out and many in bud. I love them at all stages.

As I was out in the garden I couldn't help but notice that the biggest of the three net casting spiders had caught a wasp and was trying to wrap it up in the net, ready for eating. Unfortunately for the spider, the wasp got away. In a jiffy the spider had set up its very thin support web, and almost as fast it had made a new blue net. I no longer feel bad about wrecking the one I photographed on Tuesday. Anyway, the spider shouldn't have left it in the first place.

Edit: I'm putting as an extra a pic of the spider and the wasp, as requested by Stevvi.

Another edit: I posted a photo by the same title on 16 December 2021. It's more recognisable as gladdie buds than today's. 'Tis the season.

I may be limited in my commenting for a few days as I have several obligations and social activities, but I will be visiting journals.

Thanks for hosting abstract Thursday Ingeborg.
