A day of exhibitions

Most of the morning was spent on the phone to social services and the GP for our distant family members who are struggling. News came through that the second one had been admitted to hospital, so that provides a bit of a breather while care plans can be reconsidered.

I took Mum to Belsay Castle to see the Quilting Exhibition there. Absolutely magnificent work and a joy to see, even if we became chilled through as a result.

This evening it was the opening of the village exhibition. A small committee got together to organise this and asked us to contribute photographs or paintings or embroidery/quilting and other crafts.

It's a fine exhibition. I did make an attempt to take a group photo to send to the local paper, but it was a total impossibility tricky to gain co-operation. Here is one of a trio of 'cellists who entertained us through the evening. They are delightful young people. I liked the light coming through the flowers onto this girl.
