Gently down the stream

Shepherd

Today has been horrendously wet and dark again, so I decided to go into the cathedral for my blip.  I must say it's looking rather splendid at the moment, with lovely new chairs (I don't know what they're like to sit on) and wonderful new lighting that, with the flash red carpet up the aisle, turns the stony nave into a place of warmth and colour.

As I was there a new crib was being set up in one of the east-end chapels.  I saw the 3 shepherds having a rest in the north aisle (one above with crook) and then the Virgin Mary already in place (her hand is in Extras).  I bothered to find out the name of the artist Peter Eugene Ball because I thought they were terrific.  Only disappointment was not seeing the kings, but I might go back for a look at those.

The figures are approx 1 metre high.

So that was my day, and we're now waiting for our last pre-Christmas food order to arrive.

Take care, lovely peeps  xx
