Sandwich tern fishing in Whitstable

Julesey and I met for a "blipmeet" today in Kent. After some debate we chose to visit Whitstable. Brief, episodic but torrential rain drenched us and almost drove us away but the sun reappeared to dry us.. The dogs were bored but we were in seventh heaven especially when a pair of terns started to fish just off shore.

Jules drove me around and also gave me a couple of tutorials on photoshop so I got a good deal.

This blip is a Sandwich tern, note the black bill with a yellow tip and black legs (no I'm not a birder - we've just looked this up on the net). Elegant bird and an aerial acrobat.
