Mighty Oak

Looking out of my window on this dull, dreary day I rather liked the shapes being formed by the large oak tree on the other side of the road following its prune and crown lift a few weeks ago.  However the weather was not conducive to an interesting image.  After searching for ideas for abstract tree images on the internet I found some created by inverting the image, so set to to try some out myself using photoshop.

I rather liked this one where an "invert" layer was added using luminosity blend mode.  It has given a cyanotype -like result.  One day I'll try this technique for real, but for now I'll settle for a photoshopped version!
