Here and Now

Snow Business

Thanks for all your kind feedback yesterday!

As soon as the snow started flying this morning, hundreds of birds landed in our front, side, and backyard like a huge net.  Most were robins, feeding on the berries in the hollies and on the ground en masse.  When the flock would suddenly alight, it sounded like our sump pump emptying with a whoosh!  In the extras:  a cedar waxwing and a robin in the hollies, and a duck collecting snow on its back at Whitesburg Preserve.  That's where I met our main man, Bo, an Alaskan Malamute & Husky.  He was huge and sweet and warm.  Wet, heavy snowfall continues.  The predicted blizzard did not occur.
