Roe Deer

We were having afternoon coffee, when Triinu noticed two deer passing between our yard and the pond. I took a camera and managed to sneak to a good shooting position and get some shots from about 80 metres at nearest. They headed across the field towards a neighbour's back yard. When they were crossing the road on the edge of the field, the first one carefully looked left and right. Are they learning traffic rules?
