Bleak day

We had another walk around the UCI Cyclo Cross course, the World Championship will be this coming weekend, slowly our tiny village is turning into the international event venue ! Today it was another bleak and quite cold day but many villagers took the chance to have a stroll around while we still can, come Thursday it will probably be all fenced off. While practically all streets in the whole village have a parking ban from tomorrow our quiet neighbourhood will be used for the VIP parking, poor little crocuses and snowdrops on the verges will be crushed under hundreds of cars  !
