A day in the life

Fika

Fika; in Sweden the common name for a coffe-break.
The musicians working on our next concert-project had a rehearsal today and normally we have a break for fika somewhere. Today, it was definitely a luxury moment. We are in the period leading up to lent, when we get this seasonal bun, filled with whipped-cream and marzipan-cream. It happened to be my lunch today too, maybe not the most nutritious meal there is but certainly one of the yummiest.

In the evening I was invited for dinner by my neighbour, who just came home from a long trip, visiting her daughter living in the Canary islands, during Christmas and New year. So nice to have a neighbour you can actually socialise with.
